Who am I?

My name is Bram van Beek (21). I study Sports & Media at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences. During my study, I spent five months in Barcelona. I completed a minor at the well-known Universitat de Barcelona. During my stay in Barcelona, I also successfully completed a Spanish course. From February 2018 I did an internship at the media department of AFC Ajax. During the internship I worked on the club’s social media channels, the club’s website and I did interviews. Next to that, I supported the marketing department with sponsored content.

During my study at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences I learn about sports media, sports communication, sports marketing and sports economy. Together with fellow students I did projects for renowned Dutch companies.

Universitat de Barcelona

In the summer of 2017 I was told that I was allowed to study at the Universitat de Barcelona. From September 2017 I stayed in Barcelona for five months. During this period I followed courses in economics & business. I also completed a Spanish course at Estudios Hispánicos with an 8/10 score.

AFC Ajax

In February 2018 I started my internship at the media department of Dutch football club AFC Ajax. I was responsible for the club’s social media channels like Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. Next to that I did interviews with (former)players like Johnny Rep, Kasper Dolberg, Rafael van der Vaart, Daley Blind, Aron Winter and Nigel de Jong.

Johan Cruyff Foundation

At the end of 2018 I joined the Johan Cruyff Foundation. On a voluntary basis I support the foundation with their communication and with projects such as the Cruyff Courts and Cruyff 14K run.

AFC AJAX

During my internship at AFC Ajax I worked on the club’s social media channels and the club’s website. Every day I made content for channels like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. In addition to my work at Ajax media, I helped the marketing department with sponsored content and their eSports strategy. Below you will find a digital magazine(Dutch) of my work at AFC Ajax. NAME

From 2018 I support the Johan Cruyff Foundation with their communication & events. The Johan Cruyff Foundation supports and develops sports activities for children in need all over the world. Through sports projects for children with a disability and projects like the Cruyff Courts and Schoolyard14 we create space for children. Outdoor space and indoor space.

During my internship at AFC Ajax I worked on the club’s social media channels and the club’s website. Every day I made content for channels like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I also did interviews with players & coaches. In addition to my work at Ajax media, I helped the marketing department with sponsored content and their eSports strategy.

As an editor I was responsible for articles, content and the marketing of various football websites about the EC 2016 and the 2018 World Cup. With almost 100,000 reads a day, the EC 2016 website became the biggest of The Netherlands and Belgium.

During this side job I worked on aircraft parts for clients such as Boeing.

At the Fontys University of Applied Sciences (SPECO) I learn about sports media, sports communications, sports sponsoring and sports marketing. Together with other students, we worked on projects for major clients in the sports business.

- UNIVERSITAT DE BARCELONA
During my study at the Universitat de Barcelona (Facultat d’Economia i Empresa) I learned about other cultures and economies. For example: Spanish culture, European Business & International Marketing.

My ambition
